E-Star Executive Summary

E-STAR (Entrepreneurship Sustainability Student Summit for Transformational Leadership), is an annual forum meeting for developing comprehensive, structured green business model knowledge in youth entrepreneurship through international network and organized campaign. This is important and urgent, knowing negative business impact to environment, growing needs for sustainable way of life, thus economy and environment is in opposite direction.

Students need higher interest for future generations’ sustainable business mindset. Students are still limited by country knowledge, cultural background, conventional approach, closed thoughts and ideas. In the summit, chosen students (as country delegates) that are through selection process, will discover values and principles about green entrepreneurship from academic, entrepreneur, government expert, map fundamental values that green business model must have after analyzing different industry cases. They are then will plot regional campaign action plans and ratified report.

All are done through beyond borders learning process. Benefits of this program will not only impact students but also entrepreneurs and communities alike. In the long run, E-STAR aims to become an international student entrepreneur organization and continue realizing the vision. As a conclusion, the program objectives are network of students, interest to sustainability, knowledge of green business and ASEAN campaign. This full-week, ASEAN-wide work-life balance summit program will also include seminar about added-value of sustainable business, green company visit, tree planting event, country cultural exchange and network bonding sessions, all in eco-friendly event management. Organized by Bandung Institute of Technology Student Association, program runs on 1- 8 February 2012 in Indonesia.
